KKB Terror Has Not Been Reduced: After The Death Of TNI Members, Now Injure Civilians

JAKARTA - The Armed Criminal Group (KKB) has again spread terror. This time, a civilian named Ujang Supriyatna (29) was the target of persecution that occurred in Dekai District, Yahukimo Regency.

Head of Damai Cartenz Operations, Brigadier General Faizal Ramadhani, said that the persecution was carried out by the KKB led by Elkius Kobak on Tuesday, June 17.

"Yes, it is true that there has been persecution using the sharp weapon," said Faizal in his statement, Wednesday, June 18.

Akibat penganiayaan itu, korban mengalami luak bacok di beberapa bagian tubuhnya. Saat ini, korban sedang menjalani perawatan intensif di RSUD Dekai.

Regarding the chronology of the persecution, Faizal said it was not known at the beginning of the incident. However, based on witness testimony, one of the victim's neighbors heard a voice asking for help from outside his house at 19.40 WIT.

When the witness opened the door to the house, it turned out that the victim was lying covered in blood. So, the witness asked other residents for help to take the victim to the hospital.

Regarding the current condition, joint personnel from Operation Peace Cartenz, personnel from the Yahukimo Police, Brimobda Polda Papua and TNI have succeeded in controlling the situation and ensuring conditions remain safe, with increasing vigilance that continues to be carried out.

"The joint personnel of the Cartenz Peace Operation, personnel from the Yahukimo Police, Brimobda Polda Papua and TNI are conducting a sweep and pursuit of the perpetrators," said Faizal.

Previously, the KKB led by Elkius Kobak had attacked members of the TNI from Kodim 1715/Yahukimo, Serka Segar Mulyana, to death. The attack was carried out on Jalan Seradala KM 4, Dekai District, Yahukimo Regency, on Monday, June 16.
