Judha explained that currently there are 386 Indonesian citizens in Iran, the majority are students and students in Qom City, and 194 Indonesian citizens in Israel.
He stated that the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs together with representatives of the Republic of Indonesia in the Middle East, especially the Indonesian Embassy in Amman in Jordan, and the Indonesian Embassy in Tehran in Iran, continue to monitor the situation and dynamics in Iran and Israel as well as the condition of Indonesian citizens in the region.
However, Judha stated that there were dozens of Indonesian citizens detained in Israel, Jordan, and Iran due to the escalation of the conflict.
"The Indonesian citizens who made the short trip were stranded due to the closure of the airspace and the flight stopped," said Judha.
He said the Indonesian citizens consisted of 42 Indonesian pilgrims in Israel, 8 Indonesian pilgrims in Jordan, and 2 Indonesian pilgrims in Tehran, Iran.
