Viral Langsat Park Becomes A Mesum Place, Pramono: Ordered, Not What Opens 24 Hours Stopped

JAKARTA - The nasty act of a lovebird who visited Langsat Park, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, in the early hours of the morning some time ago became a public spotlight.

Currently, Langsat Park is one of a number of parks in Jakarta which is open 24 hours.

DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung admitted that he had received the report. Pramono emphasized that he had ordered his staff to discipline them.

"I got input in one of the parks, there were young people who were dating, then recorded on CCTV, and I have received the report. Of course, something like this is put in order," Pramono said when met at Taman Ismail Marzuki, Central Jakarta, Sunday, June 15.

However, Pramono emphasized that he would not stop opening the park for 24 hours, and would even add to the location of green open spaces that could be visited 24 hours.

Because, according to him, this policy is enough to get a positive response from people who need public spaces to relax to exercise at night.

"Not then the park that is open 24 hours continues to stop, no. Including later for the Jakarta Anniversary event I have asked to be held in one of the parks which is open 24 hours due to an extraordinary public response," explained Pramono.

Previously, the immoral incident in Langsat Park was highlighted by the legislature. Member of Commission D of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Bun Joi Phiau, assessed that the DKI Provincial Government should be able to anticipate potential negative activities before the opening of the park 24 hours.

"This has indeed become a risk if the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government opens several parks for 24 hours. This problem should have been anticipated from the start," said Bun Join on Friday, June 13.

Bun also asked the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to increase security, such as patrols in parks that have been opened for 24 hours so that similar incidents do not happen again in the future.

"The manager must also increase the frequency of his security patrols for a while in order to provide a firm message to visitors, so that they think twice before committing inappropriate or inappropriate actions," he stressed.
