A Year's Toddler In Singkawang Was Ended, The Motive For The Perpetrator Was Hurt By The Words Of The Caretaker

SINGKAWANG - Satreskrim Singkawang Police together with Resmob Polda West Kalimantan arrested the perpetrator of the murder of a 1 year 11 month toddler with the initials RF in Singkawang, West Kalimantan on Saturday night around 21.30 WIB.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Singkawang Police, AKP Deddi Sitepu, said the alleged perpetrator had the initials UA alias AB. He was secured on Jalan Budi Utomo, precisely in the Hong Kong Market area, Singkawang City.

"When the arrest was made, the alleged perpetrator admitted that he did it alone," said Deddi in a statement in Singkawang, Antara, Sunday, July 15.

Apart from the perpetrators, the Singkawang Police Satreskrim also secured evidence in the form of bicycles, two shorts, one shirt, a sharp hat and weapon which allegedly belonged to the perpetrator.

From the results of the examination, the perpetrator's motive was because he felt hurt by the caretaker of FR who was also his neighbor. Because the caregiver had offended UA alias AB's feelings or hearts.

"Based on the suspect's statement, he felt hurt by Riska's mother, who is the victim's caretaker. So that in this case it has nothing to do with the family or the victim's caregiver," said Deddi.

"He means that with the disappearance of this child, the victim's parents will blame the caregiver," he said.

Deddi explained the chronology of the suspect when he killed a toddler who lived on Jalan RA Kartini Gang Kapas, Sekip Lama Village, Central Singkawang District.

On Tuesday June at around 11.45 WIB, the suspect saw the victim coming out of the side door of his caregiver's house.

And at that time, the suspect immediately smothered the victim's mouth and carried the victim to be taken into the suspect's house.

"Incidentally, the suspect's house was not far from the victim's caregiver's house," he said.

After the victim was in the house, according to the suspect's statement, the victim was still alive or breathing. However, by the suspect, the victim was then put in a plastic sack.

After being tied up by the suspect, the victim was then put in the suspect's bicycle basket. Furthermore, the suspect took the victim to the Yasti funeral complex on Jalan RA Kartini, Sekip Lama Village, Central Singkawang District.

Then, at around 14.00 WIB on the same day, the suspect returned to Yasti's funeral complex to ensure the condition of the victim wrapped in plastic sacks.

"According to the suspect's confession, the toddler (victim) is still alive or breathing," he said.

Furthermore, the victim was brought back to Jalan MAN Model Singkawang. Where on the road, the suspect admitted that the sack containing the toddler was thrown into the bushes or swamps.

After the suspect threw the toddler into the bushes, after a few days after the Singkawang Police Satreskrim checked the crime scene at the scene of the disappearance of the toddler, on Thursday (13/6) night, the suspect took back the sack containing the toddler.

"According to the suspect's confession, that the toddler had died and was even in a decomposed condition," he said.

So that the suspect brought back the sack containing the toddler (victim) to the funeral complex next to the Jami Khusnul Khotimah Mosque on Veteran Street, Roban Village, Central Singkawang District, Friday (13/6) early morning.

"When the suspect arrived at the Jalan Veteran Mosque, the suspect immediately took out the toddler and placed it in the hallway or on the terrace of the mosque," he said.
