93 TNI Personnel Arrive In North Sulawesi, Will Guard 3 Posts Bordering The Philippines

Dandim 1312/Talaud Lieutenant Colonel Inf Sigfried Panaha said as many as 93 personnel of the Outermost Small Islands (Pamputer) Security Operations Task Force (Satgas) would be tasked with guarding the outermost area of the Republic of Indonesia in North Sulawesi (North Sulawesi).

The Pamputer 2025 Task Force personnel from the Merdeka XIII Kodam have arrived at Melonguane Sea Port, Talaud on Saturday, June 14.

The arrival of the border security forces was greeted by Talaud traditionally and was subsequently received directly by Dandim 1312/Talaud together with forkopimda and related agencies.

The welcoming ceremony acting as an inspector was the Assistant for Administration and Welfare of the Talaud Regency Government, Daud Malensang, and the Ceremony Commander for First Lieutenant CHK Agung Satyamanda who was the Danpos Marampit.

The Dandim said the presence of the Pamputer task force aims to carry out the task of the state guarding the outermost region of the Republic of Indonesia which is directly adjacent to the Philippines, namely maintaining security and defense.

"The Pamputer Task Force will occupy three main security posts, namely Miangas Post, Marampit and Kabaruan Post. The three posts are the outermost islands and are bordered by the Philippines," said Dandim Panaha who is also an alumni of the Unsrat Manado FISIP.

The team will replace the Pamputer Task Force, which has previously been tasked with guarding the outermost area of the Republic of Indonesia for more than a year.

Assistant for Administration and Welfare read out the remarks of Talaud Islands Regent Fransiscus Manumpil, that the Regency Government welcomes the Pamputer Task Force in 2025, in order to carry out a noble task for the nation, namely safeguarding Indonesia's sovereignty.

The assistant explained about the condition of the Talaud Islands Regency, both from the region, culture, customs and religion. It is also reminded that living in this area is a very strong custom and religious order.

"So the presence of this team can have a positive effect so that people can be closer to the TNI as well as vice versa," he said.
