JAKARTA - One person was killed and more than 20 people injured after an Iranian rocket hit near a settlement in Rishon Lezion, just south of Tel Aviv on Saturday morning local time.
The paramedics were dispatched to the scene, where they found severe damage and a number of people were trapped under the rubble.
"This is a difficult and complicated situation and we are still scanning and ensuring there are no additional casualties in the building," said Deputy Director of Emergency Services for the Ayalon region, Rami Musher, as reported by CNN, Saturday, June 14.
Video from the Reuters news agency showed the roof of the damaged house and dozens of rescue workers and military personnel at the scene.
