BMKG forecaster Yohanes in a weather forecast video monitored through the BMKG YouTube channel in Jakarta, Saturday morning said that light rain is predicted to occur in a number of major cities on the island of Sumatra, namely Medan, North Sumatra; Padang, West Sumatra; Tanjung Pinang, Riau Islands; Jambi; Palembang, South Sumatra; and Pangkal Pinang, Bangka Belitung Islands.

"Meanwhile, on the island of Java, light rain has the potential to flush Semarang, Central Java; Yogyakarta, Special Region of Yogyakarta; and Surabaya, East Java," he said.
