Man Beaten By His Body Thrown Into The Semarang West Flood Canal, 2 Perpetrators Arrested

Semarang Police arrested two perpetrators of beating a man to death who dumped the victim's body under the Semarang West Flood Canal bridge.

Head of Public Relations of Semarang Polrestabes Kompol Agung Setiyo Budi said the incident occurred on Tuesday, June 10, which was reported by the victim's wife F (32) to the police.

"The two perpetrators were arrested on Tuesday night in the Banyumanik area," he said in Semarang, Wednesday, June 11, which was confiscated by Antara.

The two perpetrators were BT (32) a laborer from Magelang and MAR (28) a resident of West Semarang.

He explained that the incident began when the victim and two perpetrators were drinking alcohol under the West Flood Canal bridge in the South Semarang area on Tuesday afternoon.

The victim, who was drunk, was suspected of being involved in a fight with the two perpetrators using his bare hands.

"After being helpless, the victim was dragged and thrown into the river," he said.

The victim suffered head injuries and suffered bleeding, so it was suspected as the cause of death.

The incident was reported by the victim's wife who at that time also had time together with the victim and the perpetrator while drinking alcohol under the bridge.

For their actions, the two suspects were charged with Article 170 of the Criminal Code regarding beatings that resulted in death.
