JAKARTA Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) Tito Karnavian ensured that the second batch of regional heads will be held at the end of June 2025. This activity will be attended by around 50 regional heads and centered on the campus of the Jatinangor Institute of Domestic Administration (IPDN), Sumedang, West Java.
Different from the first wave that was held at the Military Academy (Akmil) in Magelang last February, this retreat took place in the IPDN academic environment. However, Tito has not yet conveyed the exact date of the implementation of the activity.
"Finally this month is for the second stage of the retreat. More or less 50 people, yes, 50 people are in Jatinangor," Tito told reporters at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Tuesday, June 10.
Participants who will participate in this activity consist of regional heads who have not participated in the first batch of retreats, as well as those who were sworn in after the 2024 Pilkada re-voting (PSU).
According to Tito, the material that will be given in the second wave of retreat is not much different from what was conveyed in the first wave.
These topics include strengthening cooperation between regional heads, improving local government performance, and aligning development programs with President Prabowo Subianto's vision and mission.
However, Tito admitted that he could not confirm whether President Prabowo and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka would attend the event. "I have not received confirmation (of the presence of the president and vice president)," said Tito.
