TANJUNG SELOR - Governor of North Kalimantan (Kaltara), Zainal Arifin Paliwang, inaugurated the Kayan River Area (WS) Intake Building at the Regional Drinking Water Company (PDAM) Jelarai, Bulungan Regency, Tuesday, June 10.
Present to accompany Governor Zainal in the inauguration of the Intake PDAM Jelarai, Bulungan Regent, Syarwani, Head of the PUPR Perkim Kaltara, Helmi and Director of Perusda Danum Beninanta Eldiansyah.
"The inauguration of the PDAM Intake development is an important milestone for development travel in the Continent Earth, especially efforts to provide access to raw water needs that are very important for the people of Bulungan," said the Governor.
The governor explained that the construction of the Jelarai Intake is a real effort and a form of commitment from the Provincial Government (Pemprov) of Kaltara to provide sustainable and quality raw water in Bulungan Regency.
"The construction of the Jelarai PDAM Intake is not only a matter of physical infrastructure, but also a long-term investment for the welfare of the community," explained Zainal.

The governor explained that the PDAM Intake was built thanks to the cooperation between the Kaltara Provincial Government and the Bulungan Regency Government, which was allocated through the 2024 Kaltara Provincial Budget amounting to Rp4.1 billion.
"This Jelarai Intake has a capacity of 2 x 40 liters per second, designed to serve water needs for 15,267 users," said the governor.
"The Jelarai intake service area includes Manunggal, Selimau I, Selimau II, Selimau III and Jelarai Raya areas," he added.
The governor appreciated those who have worked hard to prepare planning, supervision and project implementation. In addition, the governor hopes that the construction of the Jelarai PDAM Intake will be able to increase the availability of clean water for the community, support food security, and improve people's welfare, as well as a form of our commitment to stunting prevention.
