JAKARTA - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Sunday vowed to continue the prisoner swap with Russia, saying Moscow's failure to enforce a humanitarian agreement raised doubts over the efforts of the United States and other countries to end the conflict that has lasted more than three years.
President Zelensky also warned Ukrainians to be alert to airstrikes after Russia's massive airstrikes.
Speaking in a late-night video address, President Zelensky said Ukraine had not yet received a complete list of detainees to be released under the agreement reached during talks in Turkey.
"Therefore, the Russian side, as usual, even on this issue, is trying to play some kind of dirty political and information game," President Zelensky said.
"The important thing is to get results, make sure people are sent home. We believe that the exchange will continue and will do everything for this."
"If Russia does not comply with the agreement even on humanitarian matters, it raises great doubts on all international efforts, including those carried out by the United States in terms of negotiations and diplomacy," President Zelensky said.
The president spoke a day after Russian officials accused Ukraine of delaying the exchange of the latest detainees indefinitely. A Ukrainian official has rejected Russia's accusations.
US President Donald Trump has pressured Ukraine and Russia to move towards a war resolution. Ukraine says it supports US calls for a 30-day ceasefire, while Russia says certain conditions must be met first.
