Muzammil: New PKS Management Gives Efforts To Help The Government

JAKARTA - President of the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) Al Muzammil Yusuf stated that the new PKS management under his leadership was trying to help the government, especially because the party was in the presidential government coalition Prabowo Subianto in the 2024 period 2029.

"As much as we can help, through all of our cadres, through all of our public officials," Muzammil said at the Live Podcast Report on the Slaughter of the 1446 H PKS Sacrifice in Jakarta, quoted by Antara, Saturday, June 7.

He explained this in line with his management commitment, which will revive the old PKS, with the motto "Clean, Care, Professional".

Muzammil said that the step to help the government was a form of PKS' concern, in order to achieve the mandate of the fifth principle of Pancasila, namely social justice for all Indonesian people.

For this reason, PKS' concern in helping the government, he said, was carried out in various kinds, such as constitutionality, where PKS in the House of Representatives (DPR) and as public officials helped make laws.

Then, it was added that there was a budgeting concern, in which every DPR commission, with the PKS faction in it, continued to fight for the budget that sided with the community, especially the lower class.

"How can this development start from the most difficult people. If it's the most difficult person we can lift, let alone the one above," he said.

At the moment of Eid al-Adha, continued Muzammil, PKS' concern was also social, such as slaughtering sacrificial animals and distributing them to the community.

"Well, this is our job. There is practical field work like today, work on statutory concepts, to work on budgeting concepts," said Muzammil added.

Previously, Deputy Chairperson of the PKS Shura Council for the 2020-2025 period Hidayat Nur Wahid (HNW) said that Al Muzammil Yusuf was elected by acclamation as PKS President through the Syura Council's I Deliberation on June 3, 2025.

"So, the Chairman of the Shura Council proposed and then from the Shura Council discussed whether to approve or not. If in yesterday's Shura Council no one refused, it means acclamation," said HNW, his nickname, met after filling discussions at the parliament complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, June 5.

According to him, Muzammil is qualified to hold the position. Moreover, Muzammil became one of the figures who participated in declaring PKS after the Justice Party (PK) merged into it.
