JEMBRANA - Ahead of the ban on going home from May 6-17, an increase in the number of passengers occurred at Ketapang Port, Banyuwangi, East Java and Gilimanuk Port, Bali.
This increase has occurred since Friday, April 30. Compared to 2020, the increase in the two ports is around 50 percent and is dominated by two-wheelers.
"If compared to last year there is an increase. From last year with the same position the pandemic has increased by about 50 percent. Because last year there were restrictions but this was before the ban," said GM ASDP Ketapang Suharto when contacted, Monday, May 3.
Although there was an increase in the number of passengers, it was observed that there were no queues at Ketapang and Gilimanuk Seaports.
"Not rich, last year, last year there were many who were stuck and could not get out, there are those who insist that now all of them meet the requirements for the rapid test and GeNose C-19," he added.
Suharto said the prediction of the peak passengers who will cross will occur until Wednesday, May 5. But for now, the passengers are like normal days, there are no queues. Meanwhile, the prediction of reverse flow is expected to occur from 21 May-27 May.
"Currently, normally there are no queues but there is an increase in the position of ships waiting for cargo. For homecoming this peak will be on the 4th or 5th (May), after the ban. Maybe on 21 and 27 (May) the flow will return," he explained.
Meanwhile, online ticket purchases are still open but there are exceptions according to Circular (SE)
Number 13 of 2021 of the Covid-19 Handling Task Force concerning the Elimination of the Idul Fitri 1442 Hijriah Homecoming and Efforts to Control the Spread of Covid-19 During the Holy Month of Ramadan 1442 Hijriah.
"It is still opened specifically for those with the exception of SE 13 if those for the public are not served. So, later when you open it online, there will be a notification that online tickets are only used by exempted people in SE 13," he explained.
"If, you are reckless, you are rejected and (turn back), there is also a task force that checks the documents according to the requirements. If it is not in accordance with the requirements of the task force, turn back," he said.
In addition, Ketapang and Gilimanuk Ports have provided GeNose C-19 facilities at a rate of IDR 40 thousand in collaboration with Kimia Farma.
Later if there is a surge in passengers, his party has prepared anticipation by adding more ships and cooperating with other parties so that there are no queues or crowding people.
"We deploy all the ships. There are 48 ships, 32 of which are operating. This means that if there is a surge, all of them can mobilize," said Soeharto.
