JAKARTA - The latest survey from the Indonesian Political Indicators places the Attorney General's Office (AGO) as one of the most trusted state institutions of the public. The level of public trust in the AGO reached 76%, making it included in the top three most credible institutions in the eyes of the Indonesian people.

Responding to the survey results, the Head of the Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) at the AGO, Harli Siregar, expressed his gratitude. However, he emphasized that the AGO would not be complacent or feel complacent.

"This survey is also a reflection for us not to be complacent. We must continue to work hard," he told reporters, Monday, June 2.

Harli said that this public appreciation is a motivation for his institution to continue to improve the quality of work, especially in law enforcement which has a real impact on the wider community.

This survey was conducted by Indonesian Political Indicators nationally through telephone methods in the period 17-20 May 2025. The survey targets Indonesian citizens aged 17 years and over or married and have cell phones, representing 83% of the national population.

The survey involved 1,286 respondents, consisting of 50.4% male and 49.6% female, with an error tolerance rate of around plus minus 2.8%. Meanwhile, 95% confidence level uses the simple random sampling method.

Despite achieving a high level of trust, the AGO stated that it would not stop improving itself. Their focus in the future is to ensure that law enforcement is transparent, accountable, and has a positive impact on the public.
