BANTEN - Banten Governor Andra Soni responded to the results of a survey on the level of public satisfaction with 100 working days released by Indonesian Political Indicators.
He emphasized that the main focus is not on survey figures, but on concrete efforts to ensure that public services run well.
"The survey is a scientific product and can be an evaluation tool. But for me the main thing is how services to the community can be carried out properly," Andra said when met in Serang City, Antara, Sunday, June 1.
For example, Andra highlighted the acceleration of the operation of two hospitals belonging to the Banten Provincial Government which have not served the community so far. One of them has been established for three years but is not yet active. We are speeding up this so that people can immediately feel the benefits," he said.
He also explained that the budget efficiency being carried out by the provincial government is not just savings, but to direct funds to priority programs that directly touch the needs of the community, such as village infrastructure development through the Sejahtera Village Road Building (Bang Andra) program.
"Our budget is shifted to support road construction in villages, because it directly affects residents," said Andra.
In addition, free school programs for SMA and private vocational schools are also being prepared. He said it was natural that the program had not had an impact on the survey because it had not been fully implemented.
"This free school will be held soon. So now it is not reflected in the survey, it is natural," he said.
Andra also invited the public to assess the overall performance of regional heads, not only based on survey results.
Each region has different challenges. In Yogyakarta, for example, the governor is appointed based on privileges, while we are directly elected by the people. The dynamics is certainly different," he explained.
Furthermore, Andra ensured that the development direction in Banten Province would continue as planned, with budget adjustments focused on the real needs of the community.
"The most important thing is that people feel the impact firsthand. That is our main goal of real and equitable public service," he said.
The Indonesian Political Indicators Survey was conducted on May 12, 2025, with a face-to-face interview method of 400 respondents in Banten.
