JAKARTA - Member of Commission C of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Hardiyanto Kenneth, assessed that regional public hospital services (RSUD) in Jakarta are currently not optimal.
There are two problems behind this, namely poor hospital management communication to patients and lack of human resources (HR) such as medical personnel who handle treatment.
This was revealed by Kenneth after a working meeting of Commission C of the DKI DPRD with the DKI Health Office and the main directors (directors) of the RSUD.
"Yesterday I found that the human resources were lacking. So if there is a shortage of people, it will have an impact on services. Then, the communication is also bad. So we see prospective patients piling up but there is no communication," said Kenneth at the DKI Jakarta DPRD building, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, May 28.
Kenneth highlighted the weak response of RSUD officers in responding to patients who were waiting for treatment in the ER and the treatment room. Not infrequently people are abandoned in the waiting room without further explanation.
"People are placed in the transit room to wait for the room or wait for the emergency room. The hospital does not explain what room this is. That's why sometimes people like complaints, people feel abandoned. Try to be honest, tell what it is. Then people must also be well educated," explained Kenneth.
Then, if the hospital management feels that there is a shortage of medical personnel to treat patients, Kenneth asks them to report to the Health Office and discuss with the DPRD to find a way out.
"Yesterday at Cengkaring Hospital, I saw that there was very little human resources. So if you really need it, add it. Anyway, my emphasis, I underline, this community should not be a victim because of internal problems," said the member of the PDIP faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD.

From this problem, Kenneth urged the DKI Jakarta Health Office to be more responsive in evaluating the performance of RSUD-RSUD. In fact, if it is considered incompetent to manage, Kenneth proposes to transfer the main director of the RSUD from his position.
"Later, if this continues, we can definitely recommend, maybe there will be rotations and others, right? We recommend to the governor, so that the person is rotated or what," he added.
