BANDARLAMPUNG - Lampung Regional Police (Polda) arrested provocateurs of riots on the burning of houses belonging to the village head (Kakam) in Central Lampung Regency.

"We directly came to the Central Lampung Police Headquarters on Thursday (22.5) with the Head of Sub-Directorate of Jatanras together with the team and evenly distributed 24 witnesses, related to the riots that caused damage to the burning of the house of the victim," said the Director of Criminal Investigation at the Lampung Police, Kombes Pahala Simanjuntak, as reported by ANTARA, Friday, May 23.

In addition to examining witnesses, the Lampung Police also carried out a case title, to determine the suspect in the riots.

"Until finally we named 3 suspects in the riot case that caused damage and the burning of the village head's house in Central Lampung," he said.

The three act as provocateurs, burning motorbikes and destroying houses with logs.

"We have taken the three of them to the Lampung Police Headquarters and detained them. Then development will be carried out," said Kombes Pahala.

The police will also call the people who were seen in the video of the riots in Central Lampung to be questioned regarding what happened and who did what.

"We will make a second call as well as a warrant to bring these people. Because they are indeed in the video and also carry out acts of vandalism and other actions," he continued.

Kombes Pahala said it was possible that the suspects related to the riots and destruction of the house of the brother would increase.

"The suspect will probably be more than three people because there are quite a lot of perpetrators of the vandalism on the tape," he said.

Previously on Saturday (17/5) there was a riot that had occurred in Gunung Agung Village, Canal Nyunyai District, Central Lampung Regency, where residents burned and damaged the village head's house after a fight that resulted in the death of one resident.

The fight that resulted in one person's death was allegedly triggered by residents' dissatisfaction due to allegations of misappropriation of food aid by the local village head
