Indecent Comments To The Wife Of The Crew Of The Nanggala-402 Submarine, Jisrah Rahman Is Officially A Suspect And Detained

JAKARTA - The Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police officially detained a man named Muhammad Jisrah Rahman who made indecent comments on Facebook social media after the sinking of the KRI Nanggala-402 submarine in the waters of the northern sea of Bali.

Head of Sub Directorate V of Cyber Crime, Directorate of Special Crime Investigation Southeast Sulawesi Police Commissioner Muhammad Fahroni said the suspect was officially detained since Friday, April 30 yesterday after being named a suspect.

"On Friday, April 30, 2021, at 22.00 WITA, our personnel Sub Directorate V of Cyber Crime detained the suspect, Muhammad Jisrah Rahman, at the North Sulawesi Police Detention Center regarding Criminal Actions in the field of Information and Electronic Transactions (ITE)", Fahroni said in a release received by Antara, Sunday, April 2.

The perpetrator was recorded as a resident of Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi. Fahroni explained that the determination of the suspect was based on evidence, namely the suspect's cell phone and screenshots related to his comments on social media, Facebook.

"Investigators have also examined witnesses and experts, namely language experts and ITE, and strengthened by expert examinations by the Forensic Laboratory in Makassar, South Sulawesi", said Fahroni.

Previously, on April 28, 2021, the suspect was questioned by the Kendari Navy Base regarding the indecent comments on Facebook social media about the death of 53 KRI Nanggala-402 crew members.

In addition to giving indecent comments to the crew of the KRI Nanggala-402, the suspect also made immoral comments to the wives of 53 of Hiu Kencana's best warriors.

Kendari Navy Base then handed the suspect over to the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police for further investigation on Thursday, April 29.

After the evidence was collected, he was named a suspect until he was detained. To be accountable for his actions, the suspect was charged under Article 28 Paragraph (2) of the ITE Law regarding Hate Speech with the threat of a sentence of six years in prison.
