JAKARTA - Head of the Information Center (Kapuspen) TNI Major General TNI Kristomei Sianturi said Lt. Gen. Djaka Budi Utama, who had just been inaugurated as Director General of Customs and Excise, had been honorably dismissed by the TNI Headquarters.

Kristomei said that Djaka was originally transferred to the Special Pati of the Army Headquarters based on the Decree of the TNI Commander number Kep/566/V/2025 dated May 5, 2025, regarding the Dismissal of and Appointment in Positions within the TNI.

After being transferred, the TNI Headquarters received a request for a honorable dismissal of Djaka to the Presidential Military Secretariat.

After the entire administrative process has been carried out, said Kristomei, then Djaka was respectfully dismissed as of May 14, 2025.

"His assignment in ministries or civil institutions is fully carried out after undergoing the official dismissal process from military service," Kristomei explained.

Prior to serving as Director General of Customs and Excise, Djaka was the Main Secretary at the State Intelligence Agency (BIN).
