Viral Change Plate Number, Bogor Coppenda Service Car Ticketed In Jakarta

BOGOR The Regional Revenue Management Agency (Bappenda) of Bogor Regency ensures that their operational vehicles that are ticketed in the Jakarta area are being used for official purposes, not personally.

The head of the Bogor Regency Copeda, Andri Hadian, conveyed the clarification after the viral information on the ticketing of official cars using white plates, not the red plate as it should be.

"The car is being used on an official trip to Bandung, not for personal matters," Andri said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, May 22.

According to him, the incident occurred on Monday morning, May 19, 2025. At that time, the Head of the Collection, Objection and Supervision Division (PKP) together with the team were heading to Bandung to participate in official activities.

However, when passing at the Cawang red light, East Jakarta, the vehicle was stopped by police officers because the license plate did not match the Vehicle Number Certificate (STNK).

After being examined, it was known that the number plates used were only valid in West Java based on a letter from the police. The plates were originally installed for closed monitoring of taxpayers in a number of locations such as restaurants and tourist attractions.

"In a silent monitoring activity, the car does not use a red plate so that the field conditions we value remain objective," explained Andri.

However, due to negligence, the white plate had not been replaced before the car was used for trips outside the area. However, he emphasized that the vehicle was not used for personal gain at all.

"The official vehicle holder is the Sekban, but at the time of the incident it was used by the Head of PKP together with the team. We apologize for the crowds that appeared and would evaluate so that similar incidents do not happen again," he said.

Andri added that Coppenda is committed to ensuring that all official vehicles are only used for official operations and in accordance with statutory provisions.
