The Moment President Prabowo Drivered Australian PM Riding A Buggy Car At The Palace

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto drove the "buggy" golf cart to escort Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese for a lunch at the State Palace, Jakarta, Thursday 15 May.

After the two leaders delivered a joint press statement at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Thursday, May 15, Antara reported that President Prabowo was seen driving a bucket, with PM Albanese sitting beside him.

The President drove the golf cart from the Merdeka Palace to the State Palace. When their vehicle passed, dozens of schoolchildren from elementary to high school welcomed it while flying the Indonesian-Australian flag.

Ministers of delegations from Indonesia and Australia also boarded a golf cart and passed after Prabowo and Albanese cars headed to the State Palace to attend the lunch banquet.

At the lunch table, President Prabowo sat side by side with PM Albanese. A number of delegates who sat at the same table with the two leaders, including Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto, Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono, Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian and Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong.

A number of selected media from Indonesia and Australia were also invited to the banquet that afternoon.

The afternoon dining menu provided by the Palace is for President Prabowo and PM Albanese, namely gado-gado, sindang serani, chicken burning tawang, and sweet foods made from coffee.

The lunch banquet is the last activity in the series of official welcoming ceremonies of PM Albanese at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta.

PM Albanese chose Indonesia as the first country to visit his official visit, after being re-elected as head of the country's government in the Australian Parliamentary Election.
