Denial Of Evidence At Ex-FPI Headquarters Toilet Cleaning Liquid, Polri: Raw Materials For Explosives

JAKARTA - The National Police denied the statement by Munarman's lawyers team that the evidence confiscated from the former FPI Secretariat office was only toilet cleaning fluid.

Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Kombes Ahmad Ramadhan, emphasized that based on the results of the Puslabfor examination, the confiscated evidence was potential raw material for making TATP (triacetone triperoxide) explosives.

"We convey the identification results of the Puslabfor team which has carried out the identification, concluding that the items found are chemicals that have the potential to be used as raw material for the manufacture of TATP explosives," Ramadhan told reporters, Friday, April 30.

The evidence found was also called flammable. These items have the potential to be used as raw material for making Molotov cocktails.

TIm also seized evidence in the form of a chemical to make TNT (Trinitrotoluene).

"Second, flammable and vulnerable chemicals are used as materials for making Molotov cocktails and third, chemicals which are the raw material for TNT's explosives," he said.

Meanwhile, regarding the development of Munarman's examination, it is still ongoing. Special Detachment 88 investigators dug up his statements about the connection with various acts of terror.

"Densus 88 Anti-terror Police investigators are still continuing to deepen and develop, of course, related to the involvement of acts of terrorism committed by brother M in several regions in Indonesia, including his involvement in terrorism networks," said Ramadhan.

As previously reported, the former FPI Legal Aid Secretary, Aziz Yanuar, said that the evidence confiscated by Densus 88 Anti-terror from the former FPI DPP office was not raw material for making bombs or explosives. Rather, toilet cleaners.
