JAKARTA Polda Metro Jaya deployed 2,818 joint personnel to secure the 19th Session of the United States Parliament Member of the Organization for Islamic Cooperation (Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States/PUIC) which was held in Jakarta, Wednesday, May 14, 2025.
"For activities on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, Polda Metro Jaya deployed 2,818 joint personnel stationed at the DPR/MPR RI Building and several hotels in Jakarta," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Police Commissioner Ade Ary Syam Indradi Wednesday morning.
Ade Ary detailed that the joint personnel consisted of 108 personnel from the National Police Headquarters, 200 Brimob Corps personnel, 38 personnel from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, and 2,472 personnel from the Regional Task Force (Satgasda).
He emphasized that the deployment of these troops was aimed at ensuring security, order, and smooth running during the PUIC trial and the entire series of activities.
In addition to security, Ade Ary also appealed to the public to maintain a security and public order situation (kamtibmas) so that it remains conducive and not easily provoked by misleading issues. He also asked residents to support the smooth running of this international event.
"The public is advised to avoid the area of the DPR/MPR RI Building to reduce traffic density," he said.
He also emphasized the importance of maturity in expressing opinions in public, especially during state activities. "Submission of opinions should be carried out peacefully, according to the rules and not interfere with the activities," said Ade Ary.
