CFD Discourse In Forest Areas, Bangka Regency Government Hopes Residents Are Comfortable For Sport

BABEL - Bangka Regency Government (Pemkab) in Bangka Belitung Islands Province (Babel) is reviewing the implementation of a vehicle free day or Car Free Day in the Sungailiat City Forest area.

Acting (Pj) Bangka Regent Malegi Ali said the implementation of CFD was because many people used the area to exercise, especially on holidays.

"With the ban on motorized vehicles passing through the area, it is hoped that people who exercise will feel comfortable and comfortable," he said in Sungailiat, Bangka, Bebel, Tuesday, May 13, which was confiscated by Antara.

The Sungailiat City Forest Area is located right in front of the Sungailiat Grand Mosque or only a few dozen meters from the regent's official residence. The area of the City Forest Area is approximately three hectares, where the area is surrounded by asphalt roads that have been used as community places for jogging activities.

He explained that previously the area had been implemented as a vehicle-free area, but the reason was unknown so that CFD was not re-imposed.

"When the area has been implemented as a vehicle-free area, it is forced within a few hours that motorized vehicles passing must be diverted to another road," he said.

Male Ali asked the Environment Agency to coordinate with relevant agencies so that the plan to re-implement motorized vehicle-free areas in the forest area of Sungailiat City can be realized optimally.

"The wider community must know, so as not to feel disturbed if the vehicle currents are diverted to another road if a vehicle-free area has been implemented," said Pribati Ali.
