Luhut Regarding The Issue Of Gibran's Impeachment: There's A Commotion

JAKARTA - Chairman of the National Economic Council (DEN) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan responded to the issue of impeachment of Vice President (Vice President) Gibran Rakabuming Raka conveyed by the TNI Retired Forum. According to him, the parties who are fussing over this are villagers.

"Ah, what is that. We have to be united, that's all now. This is a world situation like this, it's noisy, that's how the village is," said Luhut at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Monday, May 5.

Luhut said that all parties should fully support the Prabowo-Gibran government, especially in the midst of uncertain global dynamics.

"We have to focus on how to support the government well," he said.

Meanwhile, Luhut denied the assumption that President Prabowo reprimanded TNI Commander Agus Subianto for mutating TNI Lt. Gen. Kunto Arief Wibowo, son of the 6th Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Try Sutrisno.

"Nothing I know about that," he said.

Furthermore, Luhut denied that the mutation of TNI officers was politically charged, moreover, it was linked to Try Sutrisno's attitude in supporting the impeachment of Gibran Rakabuming Raka as vice president.

"Ah, there's nothing like that. That (transfer cancellation) can happen. There's nothing strange about it," said Luhut.

Previously, the 7th President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) finally spoke up regarding the demand for impeachment of Gibran. According to Jokowi, in a democratic system like Indonesia, conveying such aspirations is a natural thing.

"Yes (Gibran's impeachment proposal) is an aspiration, a proposal, yes, it is okay in a democratic country like ours," said Jokowi when met at his residence, Jalan Kutai Utara No. 1, Sumber, Solo, Central Java, last Monday.
