Face-to-Face School Trial In Jakarta, Students Still Like Crowding

JAKARTA - Face-to-face learning trials in several Jakarta schools ended today. Several notes are of concern.

Public Relations of the DKI Jakarta Education Agency, Taga Radja Gah, said the first note was that there were still teachers and students who were wearing masks inappropriately. In addition, there are still students who gather to gather with their friends.

However, when students begin to crowd, the health protocol supervisor will immediately ask the students to disperse.

"After finishing the lesson there was still a small crowd. The children wanted to chat with their friends. Such a phenomenon occurred in several schools, but the crowds quickly broke down", said Taga when contacted, Thursday, April 29.

There are also pilot schools visited by other schools. Visiting schools want to imitate the description of implementing health protocols when schools open.

Taga said that until now there had been no positive confirmation cases for students, teachers, and education personnel at schools that had implemented face-to-face learning.

During the trial, there were no confirmed positive cases of COVID-19. Then there was no rejection from the surrounding environment, both from the village head and the surrounding community", he explained.

According to him, there are no students who take face-to-face learning at school without the permission of their parents. "Obviously, some schools participating in the piloting are limited. If parents do not allow them, they will not study at school, continue to study at home," he added.

For information, as many as 85 schools in Jakarta have started face-to-face learning trials from Wednesday, April 7 to Thursday, April 29, 2021. The levels of schools that are open start from Elementary School, Middle School, and High School, to Community Learning Activity Center / Training Course Institution.

Teachers and education personnel at the school that served as the face-to-face learning pilot project received the COVID-19 vaccination injection. This is to ensure learning activities run safely.
