KPK Reminds Gratification Teachers Not Sustenance At The 2025 Hardiknas Moment

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) reminds teachers and lecturers to reject all forms of gratification. Giving anything related to educational positions or services is not sustenance but the beginning of a criminal act of corruption.

"We also remind you how to socialize the gratuities, it's not sustenance like that. It must be distinguished between sustenance and gratification," said Deputy for Education and Community Participation of the KPK Wawan Wardiana during the commemoration of the 2025 National Education Day of the KPK ACLC Building, South Jakarta, Friday, May 2.

Wawan said that the KPK every three months has actually conducted a webinar with teachers and lecturers to increase their anti-corruption capacity. "This includes the principal. The lecturers," he said.

This kind of webinar will also be held again on May 15. "There will be special needs for anti-corruption lecturers throughout Indonesia," said Wawan.

Wawan said, this effort to prevent corruption is the duty of all parties. Teachers in schools are no exception.

"Well, it is our effort to realize education with integrity. Including the ecosystem, there are teachers, principals," he concluded.
