Labor Day, KAI Commuter Operates 1,063 Travels

JAKARTA - KAI Commuter operates the Jabodetabek Commuter Line train service of 1,063 trips during the commemoration of Labor Day on May 1, 2025.

"To coincide with the May Day commemoration holiday or Labor Day on May 1, 2025, KAI Commuter operates 1,063 Jabodetabek Commuter Line trips, the pattern of operations still refers to the operating pattern of weekdays," said Vice President Corporate Secretary of KAI Commuter Joni Martinus as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, May 1.

He conveyed that the pattern of operations was applied to continue optimizing services to Commuter Line users.

In addition to imposing an operating pattern referring to working days, in terms of security, KAI Commuter also added security officers at the station.

"Around this Labor Day, it is predicted that there will be a flow of passengers, especially the working community who will participate in the series of commemoration activities," he said.

To ensure the safety and comfort of its users, KAI Commuter added security officers at stations located around the central area of the community's aspirations delivery activity.

"A total of 98 security personnel from KAI Commuter will be alerted at Palmerah, Sudirman, Juanda, and Gondangdia stations consisting of PKD, and Marine BKO," explained Joni.

Joni said at Palmerah Station there would be 27 security personnel on alert, 22 personnel at Sudirman Station, 28 personnel at Juanda Station, and 21 personnel at Gondangdia Station.

The existence of this additional security so that it can help maintain and regulate the flow of Commuter Line passengers to remain smooth, safe, and comfortable.

KAI Commuter also appealed to avoid densities that might occur at stations located around the location of the aspiration delivery center, Commuter Line users can go up and down at other alternative stations, such as BNI City Station or Karet which is located next to Sudirman Station.

In addition, there is also Sawah Besar Station next to Juanda Station, Cikini Station which is next to Gondangdia Station, and Tanah Abang or Kebayoran Station which is located next to Palmerah Station.

KAI Commuter also appealed to users who will travel using the Commuter Line to continue to prioritize safety and follow the applicable rules.
