TANGERANG A total of 197 prospective pilgrims from South Tangerang City are confirmed to have canceled their trip to the Holy Land during this year's Hajj season. The cancellation was caused by several factors, including failing to pass the health test, dying, and economic constraints.

Head of the Hajj and Umrah Section of the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) South Tangerang City, Rizki Waludi, explained that some prospective pilgrims were unable to pay the travel fee until the deadline for the first and second stages of payment, including the extension period.

"Those who have not been able to pay off their travel expenses have finally been replaced by other pilgrims," said Rizki, Friday, April 25.

According to him, the quota for Hajj allocated to the City of South Tangerang this year is 1,608 people. However, due to the cancellation of 197 prospective pilgrims, the quota was then filled by reserve participants.

"A total of 68 reserve pilgrims and 24 pilgrims from the elderly category have replaced the canceled position," he added.

Thus, the total number of prospective pilgrims from South Tangerang who are confirmed to leave for the Holy Land in the 2025 Hajj season is 1,503 people.

Rizki also informed that the departure of prospective pilgrims from South Tangerang City was divided into five flying groups (cluters), as follows:

Group 8: May 3, 2025 at 09.50 WIB

Group 16: May 5, 2025 at 18.35 WIB

Group 35: 14 May 2025 at 22.20 WIB

Group 47: 20 May 2025 at 19.00 WIB

Cluster 54: 24 May 2025 at 15.35 WIB

Rizki emphasized that all departure preparations had been carried out carefully and his party continued to coordinate to ensure the smooth running of this year's Hajj process.
