MATARAM - The Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) stated that the state's financial losses from the results of the audit of the temporary evacuation site (TES) construction project or the North Lombok Regency Tsunami Shelter, West Nusa Tenggara, amounted to Rp18.48 billion.
BPKP stated this through Mizwan's statement as the coordinator of the audit team for calculating state financial losses (PKKN) presented by the public prosecutor in the follow-up trial of the North Lombok Tsunami Shelter corruption case at the Corruption Court at the Mataram District Court.
"So, according to our audit report, the state losses that appear as total loss (total loss). The calculation results of the SP2D (order for disbursement of funds) are reduced by taxes, so a figure of Rp. 18.48 billion appears," said Mizwan before the panel of judges chaired by Isrin Surya Kurniasih as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, April 23.
He said the audit team received this loss figure through the application of the PKKN audit method. The Audit Team applied this method because there was a request from law enforcement officers, in this case the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigators.
Mizwan said the calculation of state financial losses in this case will run in 2024, far from the project construction period in 2014. He did not deny that within that time the potential for shrinking the value of the building existed.

During the trial, Mizwan explained in general the basis for the audit team to conclude a loss of Rp. 18.48 billion from the project value of Rp. 20.9 billion as a total loss.

"Therefore, in our report we mention the results of the calculation obtained through the completeness of supporting data from the analysis of experts, clarification and field observations," he said.
Mizwan also conveyed in the conclusion that the audit results of Rp18.48 billion included the opinion of an expert who stated that the project work was not in accordance with the use and purpose of development, namely being able to withstand earthquake shocks measuring 9 on the Richter Scale.
The audit team also considered the impact of the Richter Scale 7 earthquake in 2018 with the central point in North Lombok Regency.
As a result of the natural disaster, Mizwan said the ramp of the stairs collapsed and there were cracks in the walls and main columns of the building.
"The fact is that the building collapsed in 2018 due to the earthquake, and from ITB experts said this building failed, the itjen's report was that the carrying capacity of the depth of 10 meters could not afford this building," he said.
The results of expert analysis from the Puslitbang of the Ministry of Public Works also stated that this building was not fully feasible to be used as a temporary evacuation site when a natural earthquake and tsunami occurred.
