Former West Java Police Chief Anton Charliyan Calls Threats To The Governor Of West Java A Form Of Terrorism

BANDUNG Former West Java Police Chief Inspector General Pol (Ret.) Anton Charliyan responded strongly to the threat of bombs to the Governor of West Java, Dedi Mulyadi, circulating through TikTok social media. He considered that this action was a form of terrorism and a serious threat to national security.

Threats like this are not just intimidation of officials, but a form of resistance against the state. This is terror. Especially directed at regional heads. This means that all West Java people are also being threatened," said Anton Charliyan in his statement, Wednesday, April 23.

As a graduate of anti-terror education in Socorro, New Mexico, United States, and now a member of PPIR, Anton urged the joint TNI-Polri apparatus, especially under the command of the Siliwangi Military Commander and the West Java Police Chief, to act quickly, decisively and thoroughly against the perpetrators.

He also invited all elements of the people of West Java to fight radicalism and terrorism. "Don't give the slightest space for intolerant and radical movements. We must fight together," he said.

Anton Charliyan, who is familiarly called Abah Anton, also gave full support to the Governor of West Java, Dedi Mulyadi, who is familiarly called Kang DM. He asked the governor not to be afraid to face this terror. The entire West Java community stands behind Kang DM. Don't be afraid," said Abah Anton, who also serves as Chairman of the Central PWI Advisory Council.

He emphasized that the TNI-Polri will not only protect, but also hunt down the perpetrators to the roots. "If we don't take firm action, West Java can be labeled a terrorist nest. This is a serious challenge that we must answer together," concluded Anton Charliyan.
