Drivers Allegedly Drunk Hit Pedestrians And 21 Parking Motorcycles

The man driving an electric car, with the initials MPK, was suspected of being drunk, causing him to hit a motorcyclist, pedestrian, two carts and 21 motorbikes parked at Helen's Discotheque, Jalan Lake Sunter Utara, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, Saturday morning.

"The driver is suspected of being drunk and we are still asking for information," said Head of the North Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Unit AKBP Donni Bagus Wibisono in Jakarta, Saturday.

He said no one died in the incident, but four people were injured as a result of the collision.

AJ suffered a broken right arm so he was treated at the Royal Progress Hospital.

An AD motorcyclist suffered abrasions on his right hand, the victim with the initials FF suffered abrasions on the right thigh and the victim MAG suffered a torn left calf and shortness of the chest.

"The three of them are receiving treatment at the Satyanegara Hospital," he said.

The incident is estimated to have occurred at 02.20 WIB which involved an electric car with a pedestrian with the initials AJ, then hit a motorcyclist with the initials AD.

The car also hit two round tofu carts and 21 parked motorbikes.

"The evidence collected by the police was one car, 23 motorbikes and two carts," he said.

According to the chronology, the MPK driver drove from east to west, and when he was near Helen's Discotheque, the car swerved to the right and hit a pedestrian with the initials AJ who was standing on the right side of the road, then the car swerved to the left and hit the motorbike driven by AD and rode FF and MAG who was driving beside the car.

The car also makes the motorcycle bounce and hit the tofu cart round.

Then, the electric car continued to drive and then lost control and crashed into 21 motorbikes in the Helen's Discotheque parking lot.
