Pramono Asks RSUD To Become An International Hospital

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo requested that the name of the Regional General Hospital (RSUD) in Jakarta be changed to an International Hospital.

"In the meeting, I decided 'It's no longer allowed to use the word RSUD' because using the word RSUD reduces itself," said Pramono Anung in Central Jakarta, Saturday.

He gave an example, like the Tarakan Hospital in fact, the hospital facilities were quite good.

However, he said the naming of the hospital made the Tarakan Hospital level decrease.

For this reason, Pramono wants the name RSUD to be changed to an International Hospital.

"Why not just raise it to the Tarakan International Hospital. It will be different. Including the proposal of the Cakung Hospital. Or the names we agreed on, because many hospitals in Jakarta want to change their names. For example, to become Ali Sadikin Hospital or something else. We'll agree on it together," said Pramono.

Previously in a limited meeting, Pramono had also reminded the DKI Jakarta Health Office (Dinkes) so that the construction of the Cakung Regional General Hospital (RSUD) in East Jakarta would not experience delays.

Pramono targets Cakung Hospital to start operating by the end of 2026.

He also emphasized the importance of making changes to the image of the hospital in order to bring new hope to Jakarta residents.

Pramono hopes that the Cakung Hospital can appear as a modern hospital that is able to build public trust in treatment services.

He highlighted the negative perception that had been attached to the hospital, because it is located in a densely populated area.

For this reason, he encouraged the DKI Jakarta Health Office to change the image of the Cakung Hospital to a hospital with special advantages that could be the pride of the citizens.

DKI Jakarta Province, until now has around 32 Regional General Hospitals (RSUD) spread across Aderah in five administrative cities and one district.
