4,600 Seats Provided, Cathedral Church Holds 3 Good Friday Mass Sessions

A total of 4,600 seats were provided during the Good Friday Mass at the Cathedral Church, Central Jakarta, Friday, April 18.

Head of Public Relations of the Jakarta Cathedral Church, Susyana Suwadie, said that of the 4,600 seats provided, 700 of them were in the deep area.

"Then outside of this, we usually install tents and increase the capacity of 2,500. And at Plaza Maria there are 500 so around 4,600. (Suppled)," Susyana told reporters at the Cathedral Church, Central Jakarta, Friday, April 18.

For comfort in the Good Friday service, said Susyana, the Istiqlal Mosque also supports this celebration. One of them is by providing parking space for the congregation who come.

Friends of the Istiqlal Mosque are willing to support the smooth running of this event. So that the parking in Istiqlal is connected to the cathedral church through the friendship tunnel. So this friendship tunnel is opened from Thursday to Saturday," said Susyana.

On his occasion, Susyana revealed that in today's Easter celebration, the Cathedral Church will be held three times.

"So once a creative cross then three times worship. Starting from the first worship at 12.00 WIB," said Susyana.

"It will be led by Father Edy Mulyono S.Y. Together with Father Maarsono S.Y. Then at 15 o'clock which is a hybrid at 15. It will be led by Father Hani Rudi Hartoko S.Y. Then closed with the third worship, namely 18. Which will be led later by Father Diodatus S.Y. Together with Father Andre MSY," he concluded.
