TANGERANG - The Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) of South Tangerang City expressed its readiness to distribute blood across regions including Jakarta and West Java. This is the aftermath of the issue of the blood stock crisis after Eid 2025.
Head of the South Tangerang PMI Blood Donor Unit (UDD), Suhara Manulang, said that the distribution of blood is not only in his area, but in all areas in need. Including Jakarta and West Java.
"In addition to meeting the needs in South Tangerang, and we are without limits anymore. That is indeed a collaboration between PMI blood donor units anywhere," said Suhara when confirmed, Thursday, April 17.
However, the blood coming out of PMI Tangsel will only be sent on the basis of official request.
"The second is a letter of request from the doctor who treats him in the hospital, anywhere," he explained.
Regarding the delivery method, there are three ways that are commonly used, namely taken directly by hospital couriers, PMI couriers, or brought by the patient's family using a special cool box from the hospital.
