Members Of The DPRD Suspected Of Fraud Rp350 Million, Golkar Prepare Legal Aid

SERANG - Chairman of the Golkar Banten Regional Leadership Council (DPD), Ratu Tatu Chasanah is ready to provide legal assistance to members of the Banten DPRD RFB (44) regarding their status as suspects in cases of fraud and embezzlement.

"There is definitely legal assistance, because what was conveyed by my friends has not received complete information regarding the members of the Golkar Party faction in Banten Province," said Tatu, quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, April 16.

Tatu also admitted that he deeply regretted the incident and stated that he would follow the ongoing legal process.

"We deeply regret that, we are concerned that the Golkar Party's extended family will follow the stages carried out by law enforcement," he said.

His party also emphasized that members of the faction will prepare legal assistance because it has become the party's obligation to assist its members.

"Our faction members will prepare legal rocks because it is our duty from the party to assist its members," he said.

As for the change of members, his party admitted that they would wait for more complete information and that the legal decision could only be changed.

Previously, the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation (Direskrimum) of the Banten Police arrested RFB on suspicion of fraud and embezzlement.

RFB, who also serves as Director of CV. Prisma Kencana, was reported to have submitted a check worth Rp350 million to PT. Sinar Dynamics Beton as a means of payment for ready-mix concrete. However, when disbursed, the check was rejected by the bank because the balance was insufficient.

"So that with this, PT. Sinar Dinamika Cilegon suffered losses which until now cannot be accounted for by RF," said the Director of Criminal Investigation at the Banten Police, Kombes Pol Dian Setyawan.

To account for his actions, the suspect is subject to Article 378 of the Criminal Code and or Article 372 of the Criminal Code with a penalty of 4 years in prison.
