Earthquake Occurs In Sabang With A Strength Of 3.5 Magnitude

JAKARTA - An earthquake with a strength of 3.5 magnitudes occurred in Sabang, Aceh, on Wednesday, April 28 at 10.32 a.m. local time.

The location of the earthquake was at 5.79 north latitude and 95.30 east longitude with a depth of 3 kilometers.

"The epicenter was on land 11 km southwest of Sabang City", wrote Meteorology Climatology and Geophysics Council (BMKG) in its statement.

This earthquake was felt on a scale III MMI (Modified Mercalli Intensity).

"Beware of possible aftershocks", wrote the BMKG on its official website.

There has been no information regarding the damage and whether or not there were victims in the earthquake.
