Ahead Of The Rotation Of Positions, West Papua Deputy Governor: ASN Don't Manuver Titip Nama, Just Focus On Work

PAPUA - Deputy Governor of West Papua Mohamad Lakotani reminded all state civil servants (ASN) of the provincial government not to maneuver to leave names on the rotation list.

The governor and deputy governor have the authority to shift to a number of leaders of regional apparatus organizations (OPD) according to the results of the evaluation of their respective work performance.

"There is no need to maneuver entrusting the names so that they are included in the rotation list. The regional head has his own assessment to rotate," said Mohamad Lakotani in Manokwari, West Papua, Antara, Friday, April 11.

Lakotani appealed to all government officials to focus on carrying out their duties and responsibilities professionally, so that public services do not experience a decline in quality.

Promotion and rotation of positions are commonplace in government organizations as an effort to refresh, regenerate, and foster civil servants (PNS).

"The governor and I will definitely check before placing someone in position. The innovations that are made are how the performance is," said Lakotani.

In addition, he said, increasing employee discipline is also an attention by conducting sudden inspections of every OPD within the scope of the local provincial government.

This not only ensures the percentage of employee attendance, but rather the timeliness of entering work in accordance with the provisions of the applicable laws and regulations.

"Yesterday (Thursday) morning, I started visiting one OPD. This is important and we do it randomly to measure discipline," he explained.

He said that during the inspection, several employees who had not attended were found, and some were late in entering the office on the grounds of family affairs.

This condition reflects the level of awareness of each employee to comply with regulations that are not evenly distributed, so it is necessary to make regular mental development efforts.

"As a government apparatus, it should obey the rules and smart time management so that the work is not disrupted," said Lakotani.
