Attorney General's Office Determines 3 Suspects Of Hundred Million Village Fund Corruption In Aceh

BANDA ACEH - Investigators at the Nagan Raya District Prosecutor's Office, Aceh named three former village officials from Krueng Mangkom Village as suspects for corruption in village funds in 2016-2017.

"Based on the results of investigations and audits conducted by related parties, the total alleged corruption in this case reached Rp.523 million," said Head of the Special Crimes Section Dedek Syumarta Suir, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, April 27.

The three suspects named as suspects were MAS as the former village head, F as the former treasurer and S as the former village secretary.

According to Dedek, the determination of the suspect status of the three former village officials was carried out by the Nagan Raya General Prosecutor after investigators obtained allegations of strong evidence against the alleged criminal acts of corruption committed by the three.

"That the result of the actions of the suspects is suspected to have resulted in state losses of approximately Rp.523 million," he said.

The three suspects were suspected of violating Article 2 paragraph (1), Article 3 of UURI No. 31 of 1999 as amended by UURI No. 20 of 2001 concerning the Eradication of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1 of the Criminal Code.

But the Nagan Raya Aceh District Prosecutor's Office has not detained the three former village officials.
