JAKARTA - During the Lebaran holiday, the number of people visiting the capital city of the archipelago (IKN) reached 64,000 people. Deputy for Controlling the Development of the IKN Authority, Thomas Umbu Pati Tena Bolodadi said the visit continued to increase after the implementation of Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijriah.
"Statistically, on April 1, 8,219 visitors, even April 2, 958, yesterday's peak on April 3, was 14,105 and yesterday (April 4, 2025) 10,215 people. Today (April 5, 2025) there have been 12,307 visitors," he explained in a statement quoted by VOI, Sunday, April 6.
These visitors come from various regions in Indonesia as well as from foreign countries such as Brunai, Malaysia, China, Europe, and South Korea. They came to see firsthand the ongoing IKN development process as part of Indonesia's transformation towards the political capital.

Meanwhile, the Special Staff of the Head of the IKN Authority, Troy Pantouw expressed his appreciation to all parties who have worked hard to provide services to visitors.
"Thank you to officers from the IKN Authority, volunteers, TNI and Police officers, as well as all parties who have dedicated their time and energy on the Eid holiday to serve people who are very enthusiastic about visiting IKN," said Troy.

Troy said that access to IKN has been made easier by the existence of the Balang Island Bridge which functions as a functional ecosystem route, and the IKN Toll Road Section 3A, 3B, 5A is opened in one special direction for Class I (smoking, plays, and minibuses) vehicles as an alternative route for Eid Al-Fitr homecoming.
