Ojol Only Receives IDR 50 Thousand BHR, Wamenaker Will Call Aplikators

JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of Manpower (Wamenaker) Immanuel Ebenezer emphasized that he immediately summoned an online motorcycle taxi (ojol) applicator company following a report that some drivers only received IDR 50 thousand for the holiday bonus (BHR).

"Call him, we (will) call. Okay," Wamenaker said as quoted by ANTARA.

When the media crew asked whether the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) had summoned the ojol company that gave BHR only Rp. 50,000 per driver, Wamenaker confirmed that he would immediately summon the company.

However, Wamenaker did not specify when the ojol applicator company would be summoned by the Ministry of Manpower.

He only made sure to immediately call related parties regarding this matter.

In fact, Wamenaker admitted that his emotions and blood pressure increased when the media crew confirmed about BHR ojol who only received Rp. 50,000 per driver.

"BHR? The answer is you know? Do you want me to be rude or good? I'll immediately increase my blood about BHR," said the Deputy Minister of Manpower briefly.

Previously, the Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Yassierli admitted that he was ready to summon an applicator regarding the existence of online motorcycle taxi drivers (ojol) who only received a holiday bonus (BHR) of IDR 50,000.

The Minister of Manpower was met in Jakarta, Tuesday (25/3) saying that previously he had issued a circular regarding the appeal and formula for providing BHR for online motorcycle taxi drivers.

He also emphasized that he was ready to accept and accommodate complaints from ojol drivers and immediately follow up on this.

"It's okay, we accept (if there is a complaint). It's okay. We'll collect it first. Later, if we see something that we have to follow up, we will clarify, we will call later (aplicator)," said the Minister of Manpower.

On the other hand, Chairman of the Indonesian Transport Workers Union (SPAI) Lily Pujiati said that noting that around 800 ojol throughout Indonesia did not receive the BHR that should have received, which was around 80 percent of the data, on average received Rp. 50,000 per ojol driver.

Due to this condition, SPAI complained about the amount of disbursement of BHR that was not appropriate to the Ministry of Manpower because it suspected that the applicator had violated President Prabowo Subianto's instructions and a circular letter from the Ministry of Manpower.

Lily hopes that the Ministry of Manpower can summon applicators so that ojol drivers can get their rights.

"Maybe call to give sanctions, call them to give truly what the President (BHR) has directed," said Lily.
