In the first eruption, according to him, Sinabung spewed thick white ash with a column height of 1,000 meters that moved with the wind to the south and southwest.
The second eruption of Mount Sinabung was observed at 08.12 WIB.
According to the PVMBG officer, Mount Sinabung emitted volcanic ash with a column height of 1,000 meters during the second eruption which lasted three minutes 44 seconds and had an amplitude of 46 mm.
"The wind was leaning toward the south and southwest," he said.
He appealed to residents and visitors not to approach or enter the danger zone of Mount Sinabung.
"Because the activity of Mount Sinabung is still very high and there can be further eruptions and hot clouds at any time," he said.
