Central Sulawesi Governor Condemns Humiliation Of Founders Of Old Teacher Alkhairaat

Central Sulawesi Governor Anwar Hafid strongly condemned the insult to the founder of Alkhairaat Sayyid Idrus bin Salim Al Jufri or the Old Teacher by someone named Fuad Plered.

"As Abnaul Khairaat, I strongly condemn the insult of the Old Teacher because the act was actually a very heinous act," said Anwar Hafid as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, March 31.

According to him, this is also a very important lesson for all groups to maintain the words of hate speech.

He also reminded that before judging someone, it is necessary to have sufficient understanding so as not to make a mistake in taking a stand.

"They don't really know who the Old Teacher is. Don't make statements that are only insulting and insulting. Hopefully he (Fuad Plered) is aware and given wisdom," he said.

The controversial statement from the social media account @gusfuadplered in a 22-second video has sparked a commotion, especially among Abnaul Khairaata or the designation for followers and alumni of Alkhairaat.

"The action of words carried out by Fuad Plered can interfere with harmony," said Anwar.

The insult to the Old Teacher has sparked strong reactions from various circles, especially from Abnaul Khairaat spread across various regions.

Many parties have demanded that the perpetrators apologize publicly and be given sanctions for their actions.

In addition to responding to the insult, the Governor of Central Sulawesi also mentioned the proposal of the Old Teacher as a national hero.

According to him, this effort had been fought for by previous governors, and he continued the struggle by returning to provide recommendations to the central government.

"Actually, the figure of the Old Teacher is very well known, from children to high-ranking officials even know who he is (Said Idrus bin Salim Al-jufri). Now we can only pray and continue to support the government of the Republic of Indonesia, under the leadership of Pak Prabowo Subianto can see and appreciate the struggle of the Old Guru," he said.

Meanwhile, the encouragement to make Old Teachers as National Heroes continues to strengthen, the public hopes that the central government will immediately inaugurate the title as a form of respect for the dedication of the Old Teacher in the field of education and Islamic da'wah.

"The Old Teacher is a person who has fought selflessly to educate the public. It is appropriate for the government to give a decent award for his services," he said.
