INDRAMAYU - Asy-Syahadatain congregation at Nurul Huda Mosque, Tinumpuk Village, Indramayu Regency, West Java, performed Eid Al-Fitr 1446 Hijri prayers on Sunday 30 March or one day earlier than Eid al-Fitr 2025 set by the government.

The leader of Asy-Syahadatain, Tinumpuk Zaenal Abidin Village in Indramayu, Sunday, said that the implementation of this worship refers to the method of calculating the beginning of the month of Ramadan which they announced.

He explained that the congregation followed a method called Isnainiyah and based on this calculation, the beginning of Ramadan this year fell on Friday (28/2), so that after fasting for 30 days, Eid al-Fitr is celebrated today.

"We refer to the guidance of our teachers who use the isnainiyah method. This year, the calculation stipulates the beginning of Syawal on Sunday," Zaenal was quoted as saying by ANTARA.

He mentioned that the Eid prayer at the Nurul Huda Mosque was attended by around 700 people, which is part of the Asy-Syahadatain community in the village.

Despite the difference in implementation time with the government's decision, he hopes that all Muslims will continue to respect their respective beliefs.

Zaenal also congratulated all Muslims in Indonesia and invited this moment to be used as an event to strengthen friendship and increase piety.

"Our fasting service this year is earlier, but sometimes it also coincides with what the government has set. We hope that all those who are still fasting will be given smoothness in carrying out their worship," he said.

Based on data compiled by ANTARA, Asy-Syahadatain is a religious community or organization formed by a figure from Cirebon named Habib Umar bin Ismail bin Yahya in 1947.

The figure initially founded the Syahadatain recitation group. But not long after, this name was immortalized as a tarekat name.

The uniqueness of this community is that the congregation, always dressed all white, namely wearing aban and the like when worshiping.
