JAKARTA - Russia's mass drone strike killed four people, injured 19 people, and sparked a major fire at hotel and restaurant complexes and other buildings on Friday night in the city of Dnipro, Ukraine.
Serhiy Lysak, governor of the area around Dnipropxisk, said a high-rise apartment building and nearly 10 private houses were on fire. Firefighters have controlled the fire at the hotel complex.
In a previous post, Lysak said the number of victims is likely to increase, with three injured in serious condition.
"Now it is also known that the enemy directed more than 20 drones into the city," Lysak wrote on Telegram. "Most of them were shot down," he said.
Photos and videos uploaded online show flames and large plumes of smoke rising into the sky.
Others showed the inside of the destroyed building, the upper floor of the heavily damaged high-rise apartment block, and roads filled with broken glass and building materials.
