Febri Diansyah Affirms His Sister Is Onlygang During The Vision Of Law Handling SYL Cases

JAKARTA - Former KPK spokesman Febri Diansyah spoke about the summons of his younger brother, Fathroni Diansyah as a witness to the alleged money laundering crime (TPPU) that ensnared former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL). He said his younger brother at that time was a merchant on Vision Law.

"During legal assistance in the SYL case, he was carrying out an advisory internship at the Visi Law Office," Febri told reporters, Monday, March 24.

Febri said Fathroni was no longer working at Visi Law. They are now building their own law firm.

"Since the end of 2024, we have established Diansyah and Partner Law Firm," he said.

Meanwhile, Febri formed Vision Law in 2020 with former Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) researcher Donal Fariz. Then, joined Rasamala Aritonang who was a former KPK employee.

Febri and Rasamala later became SYL's attorney in the case of extortion and receiving gratuities before finally resigning. Meanwhile, Donal Fariz chose not to participate in the case.

Previously reported, the KPK suspected that former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo or SYL had paid for lawyer services using extortion and gratification proceeds. Thus, investigators sought evidence by examining Rasamala Aritonang and searching the Visi Law office last week.

"We are currently handling SYL's TPPU case. In the money laundering case, of course, we will track where the money suspected of being the proceeds of corruption flows," said KPK Investigation Director Asep Guntur Rahayu at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, Jakarta, Thursday, March 20.

"Well, we suspect that the money from SYL's corruption was used to pay. So we checked there," he continued.

From the search, the KPK revealed that investigators confiscated a number of documents and electronic evidence. Meanwhile, from the information collected, investigators confiscated legal opinion files (LO) when Febri and Rasamala became SYL's attorneys in the case of extortion and receipt of gratuities and company financial records.
