Mass Organizations Ban The Establishment Of The Lebaran Command Post, Metro Police Chief: Take Action, No Country Loses To Thugs

JAKARTA - Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Karyoto stated that he had ordered his staff to take firm action against thugs under the guise of community organizations (ormas) who extorted by asking for holiday allowances (THR) or actions that attach importance to their group.

The statement was made in response to the action of a man who claimed to be a member of a mass organization and forbade volunteers to establish a Lebaran 2025 Homecoming post in the Citarik area, Jatireja, East Cikarang, Bekasi Regency.

"I have emphasized to the police chiefs to see if there are thugs who carry out actions only for the benefit of their own group, especially those with extortion nuances and others, we will definitely take action," Karyoto told reporters quoted on Saturday, March 22.

It was said that members of the mass organization who forbade the establishment of the homecoming post had been arrested and detained. In fact, the police will explore the mastermind behind the action.

"We have followed up, we have arrested and detained," said Karyoto.

According to him, whoever except the land owner cannot prohibit the establishment of the homecoming post. Because, the goal of the universe is for the benefit of the wider community.

"Actually, if we really want to set up a post as long as the land is not someone's land, which we can't establish by the owner, we force it, there is no business," said Karyoto.

"We are fighting like that and there is no country inferior to this group of thugs," he continued.

The action to ban the establishment of the Eid post went viral after the X @kabarnegara_ account uploaded a video of members of the mass organization.

In the video, the names of members of the mass organizations prohibit volunteers from establishing homecoming posts for no apparent reason.

"Yes, yes, if not, no. What do you want to say? No, you can't," said the member of the mass organization.
