JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung emphasized that his party did not close itself to migrants who wanted to settle in Jakarta after Lebaran Day.

However, the DKI Provincial Government continues to collect data on the population of post-Idulfitri 1446 H, especially for migrants. They must report their arrival to the Population and Civil Registration Service (Disdukcapil) with a number of requirements. One of them needs to have a family or relatives of Jakarta residents as guarantor.

"What must be done is to use Dukcapil data. If a citizen who does not have an ID card, of course he must be there who guarantees where he wants to go," said Pramono at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Friday, March 21.

If you want to work in Jakarta, Pramono hopes that the newcomers already have the skills to work. Thus, they can easily get a job so that the unemployment rate in Jakarta does not increase.

"The Jakarta government hopes that people who come to Jakarta can be able to work well, because we will open a job fair, we will open a work training center, we will prepare to improve the quality of work," he said.

Pramono emphasized that the DKI Provincial Government will not carry out judicial operations for migrants, as was done in the era of former DKI Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok). This is because Pramono assesses that everyone has the right to seek luck in Jakarta.

"So, what will be applied is more humane, more open, more transparent. For anyone who wants to come to Jakarta, please, because we know that Jakarta remains a place for anyone, risking their hopes," said Pramono.

For the record, population growth in Jakarta every month comes from the average birth of 8,796 people.

Meanwhile, population growth in one momentum, such as post-Lebaran, in the period 2021-2024, the average number of migrants in Jakarta is 22,412 people. The data shows a spike in the number of people in Jakarta in one particular momentum.
