Anies Goes Directly To The Location Of The West Java To East Java Food Contract, Observers Are Sure For The 2024 Presidential Election

JAKARTA - In recent times, the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan has been actively involved in cooperation activities for DKI Jakarta BUMD in the food sector. Anies has visited three provinces, namely West Java, Central Java and East Java.

There is a political message seen by political observer from Esa Unggul University, Jamiluddin Ritonga. From this safari activity, Anies wants to gain support for the 2024 Presidential Election.

"Strictly speaking, Anies 'visit was only to secure food for Jakarta residents and the desire to make farmers prosperous, as he said. But, implicitly, Anies' visit can also be interpreted in a political context, namely the 2024 presidential election," Jamiluddin told VOI, Monday, 26 April.

Safari Anies started while participating in a harvest festival in Cilacap Regency, Central Java, on Friday, April 16. This big harvest is a contract collaboration in the food sector between PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya and Gapoktan Sumber Makmur Cilacap.

Anies continued his journey to meet with Kuningan Regent Acep Purnama to discuss opportunities for cooperation in the food sector. He also visited his parents on Saturday, April 17th.

On Sunday, April 25, Anies left for Ngawi, East Java to work together again to expand the absorption of unhulled rice for rice supply in Jakarta.

Not only dealing with food contracts, Anies also visited the Darussalam Gontor Modern Cottage, Ponorogo, East Java. Anies also stayed overnight in Madiun City and met the mayor, as well as meeting with the Governor of East Java Khofifah Indar Parawansa.

"The series of meetings had a political nuance. To the ulama, Anies tried to get closer to himself by coming directly to Pondok Modern Gontor. The support of this cleric is very much needed so that later East Java can become a granary for his voice," said Jamiluddin.

Jamiluddin saw that the visit to these three provinces had shown Anies' plan to seek support in political contestations. This is because West Java, Central Java and East Java are the biggest voters in winning the support of presidential candidates.

Anies' efforts to control votes in Java, according to Jamiluddin, were increasingly seen with plans for a similar visit to Sumedang, West Java, after Eid. West Java as the biggest vote nationally seems to be Anies's calculation to smooth it out in the 2024 Pilpers.

"So, Anies' visit to Central Java, East Java, and later after Eid to Sumedang (West Java) will certainly be more political than just a matter of food. Because, if it is only a matter of food, it is enough that DKI Jakarta Provincial Government officials come to the region," he said.
