JAKARTA - The Ukrainian and US delegations can meet in Saudi Arabia in the coming days to discuss the technical partial ceasefire, President Volodymyr Zelensky said after describing a "very substantive" phone call with President Donald Trump.

"We instruct our team to resolve technical issues related to the implementation and expansion of the partial ceasefire. The Ukrainian and American teams are ready to meet in Saudi Arabia in the coming days to continue to coordinate measures towards peace," he tweeted on social media X. , quoted from Reuters March 20.

President Zelensky described his conversation with President Trump as "positive, highly substantive, and honest".

Ukrainian leaders said they also confirmed Ukraine's readiness to halt attacks on Russian infrastructure and commitments to an unconditional ceasefire on the front lines previously proposed by the US team.

"One of the first steps to end the war completely is to end attacks on energy and other civilian infrastructure. I support this move, and Ukraine confirms that we are ready to implement it," he said.

Furthermore, Kyiv's leader also revealed that he received a briefing from President Trump about his phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday, after Moscow said the halt to the energy strike had been ordered.

The possibility of strengthening Ukraine's air defenses, which rely heavily on allied supplies, was also discussed in the phone call, President Zelensky added.

"We are talking about the situation in the Kursk region, touching on the issue of the release of prisoners of war, and the repatriation of Ukrainian children taken by Russian forces," the Ukrainian president said.
